Voice Control
The Magellan Maestro includes voice control software for many of the most commonly used
commands. This provides hands-free operation of the Magellan Maestro for most of the functions you
will use on a daily basis.
Activating Voice Control
To place the Magellan Maestro in a ‘listening’ mode for voice commands, you need to first ‘wake up’
the voice control software by speaking the attention word “Magellan”. Upon waking up the Magellan
Maestro, the Say a Command screen is displayed. This is a list of available commands that can be
used for reference. The command you want to use does not need to be displayed, this list is for easy
reference only.
1. Speak “Magellan”.
2. Speak the command.
Speaking “Previous” or “Next” scrolls the
list up and down.
After speaking the command, additional
screens may be displayed that also can be
voice controlled.
Sample Nearest Restaurant
1. Speak “Magellan”.
2. Speak “Nearest Restaurant”.
